BODYBALANCE 108 begins with our TAI CHI Warm-up focusing on breathing to deeply warm the body with energy. The YOGA Warm-up connects the body through breath to mobilize and activate the body. Track 2A and 2B SUN SALUATIONS focus on alignment to enhance the poses and feel powerful, strong, and grounded. The poses in these tracks develop incredible leg and core strength, along with mobility in the hips and shoulders. Track 3 STANDING STRENGTH sets the foundation of the lower body to provide stability and space for upper-body expansion. This track provides a wonderful opportunity for your class to explore the progression of space, freedom, and length of their bodies as we move through Warrior 2 Flow and the Lunge Flow. Track 4 BALANCE we start with a quiet centered mind connected to breath. The objective is for participants to not only feel the breath in the poses but also how it can allow us to go a little further or stay a bit longer. This is the key when moving from Eagle Pose to Side Leg Lift. Track 5A and 5B ABDOMINALS sets stability in the pelvis in moves coaching using our breath for control. Track A is short and sweet (like your instructors). We will focus on Back, Belly and Breath – which turns on the lower abdominals to stabilize the hips and pelvis. Track 6 BACK we have some simple back moves in this short track; from a plank we flow to leg lifts with the rock forward and back. Track 7A and 7B HIP OPENERS we move through all our favorite hip poses – Happy Baby Pose, Frog Pose, Half Lotus/Cow Face Pose. Our body structures are unique, so we flow with acceptance and celebrate love. Track 8 TWISTS TRACK focuses on anchoring, lengthening, and turning/twisting: anchoring down through the points of connection on the floor, lengthening up through the spine to create space to move from as you inhale, and the exhaling to Twist and release. Track 9A and 9B FORWARD BENDS/HAMSTRINGS, a solid foundation will be coached to allow you to truly connect to your body with a sense of honoring where they are at. Track 10 RELAXATION/MEDITATION creates breathing practice.
BODYBALANCE 108 feels light and summery, with a lot of lovely lyrics and simple poses to hold or experience with.
