Rec Gymnastics Class Descriptions
Gymnastics is a progressive sport and each gymnast develops skills at his or her own pace. Grouping children by age allows them to work on their skills in an environment where they feel comfortable and safe.
Parent child gymnastics is a great way to spend quality one-on-one time with your toddler while introducing them to a variety of new concepts such as hand-eye coordination, body awareness, building strength, agility, and flexibility.
Fee: $55 M / $100 N

In this 30-minute class, your child will work on understanding basic body terms and positioning related to gymnastics. They will be following instructions incorporating spatial, sequential, and directional cues. They will be learning to recognize differences in shape, size, and color. They will participate in structured circuits and interacting with peers and instructors.

In this 40-minute class, gymnasts will learn to progress through basic gymnastics activities and stations. They will learn the beginning basics of gymnastics on all four competitive events:
- Vault: running, jumping on the springboard, and proper landings
- Bars: hanging, swinging, hanging in different positions, pullovers, holding front support, etc.
- Beam: walking forward, backwards, sideways, jumping, crawling, turning, kicking, etc.
- Floor: rolling forward, rolling backwards, headstands, handstand shaping, etc.

The gymnasts in this 45-minute class have already achieved some of the basic gymnastics skills. In this class, they will be working to improve their technique and learn some more challenging skills on trampoline and each of the four Olympic events for girls: Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor. We teach this class using circuits, stations, and basic progressions. By using a variety of equipment, we keep our classes full of engaging activities to help your child safely explore gymnastics.

We teach this class using circuits, stations, and basic progressions. By using a variety of equipment, we keep our classes full of engaging activities to help your child safely explore gymnastics.

This 60-minute class will teach the school-aged gymnast the basic skills on trampoline and each of the four Olympic events for girls: Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor. We teach this class using circuits, stations, and basic progressions. By using a variety of equipment, we keep our classes full of engaging activities to help your child safely explore gymnastics.

Pre Team classes are for gymnasts, who by our staff's determination, have met the necessary requirements. While in this class, students will be working on improving their technique of the basic skills they have achieved and be exposed to more advanced gymnastics skills. These gymnasts may be offered the opportunity to be a part of our competitive team.
This class is offered by invitation only.
Fee: $80 M / $150 N

"How will I know when my child can progress to the next level in Rec Gymnastics?"
Your gymnast will be evaluated throughout the 7-week session. On the last day, you will receive a skill progression form that will let you know if your gymnast is ready for the next class or needs to stay in the same class. For Parent/Child and Tot classes, gymnasts must meet the age requirements and criteria to move up.
Dress Code: All gymnasts must wear proper gym attire
Girls: One piece leotard or athletic clothing (shorts with strings must be tied)
Boys: Elastic waist shorts and t-shirt
Shoes & socks must be removed before starting class
Hair must be pulled back out of eyes
No loose jewelry or dangly earrings (stud earrings permitted)
General Rules
- No running, cartwheels, Hide-n-Seek, or horseplay. This behavior will not be tolerated.
- Gymnasts are NOT allowed on any equipment prior to their class.
- Please take younger gymnasts to the bathroom before their class time.
- Children are not to be unattended while siblings are in class.
- Please do not let your child run in and out of the building or play on the stairs, these are safety issues.
- Gymnasts should arrive for class no more than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time unless prior arrangements have been made with an instructor of the office and should be picked up promptly after the completion of their class time.
Discipline
If your child is disrespectful or disruptive to another gymnast or coach, he or she will be asked to sit out the remainder of their class. If this continues to become a problem your child could be removed from the gym for an indefinite period. We strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all children enrolled in gymnastics and want it to be a productive time for everyone.
Makeup Policy for Rec Gymnastics
There are no makeups for personal missed classes. To keep classes safe for gymnasts and coaches, we keep a strict coach-to-gymnast ratio.
Tiny Tot Open Play: Ages 0-6
Fridays 9:00-11:00am
This is a weekly drop-in gym time with parents or guardian to explore and learn without direction. It's a great way to spend quality one-on-one time with your toddler while introducing them to a variety of new concepts. A liability waiver will need to be signed prior to playing.
Fee: $7/child ($5 for additional children in the same family)
Private Gymnastics Lessons
Private lessons are a great opportunity for 1-on-1 coaching in 30 or 60-min sessions. Flexible scheduling is available!
